2JPEG.EXE is a powerful tool for fast and productive working with the image collection.It is a full 32-bit Windows console application. Using 2JPEG.EXE you can convert one or many images from command line, from BATCH file or from other application image by image or in batch mode. 2JPEG features: launches from command line, from batch file or another application; is maximally optimized to process graphic files in background mode; reads images in 20 raster and vector graphic formats: BMP, DIB, RLE, TIFF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, PCX, DCX, TGA, DXF, EPSF, WMF, EMF, IMG, WPG, PCD, ICO, CUR, ANY; reads images from multipage graphic files; converts into 8-bit grayscale or 24-bit true color format; converts images with different quality (compression rate); supports batch conversion from nested folders keeping the nested structure; stretches images using any of four available algorithms by user choice; optional control over keeping image proportions; crops images margins; changes color depth; converts into grayscale palette; rotates image at angle from -360 to 360 degrees with increment 0,01 degree; creates log file. Few words about JPEG format. JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group Format) is good for publishing in the Internet multicolor and grayscale photos. Image is compressed, compression is made with quality loss. The higher is compression (i.e. the smaller file), the worse image quality. But for medium compression level image in JPEG format in most cases will be of decent quality while file size will be several times less then in Bitmap format. Small file size allows its quick loading in web-browser. JPEG format is supported by all graphics viewers and editors of medium and high level and also by web-browsers. |
