Description of axsStrongBox

axsStrongBox is a COM component which provides secure private key data encryption, gzip compression and Base64 encoding. The component implements several of the most popular and well respected strong encryption algorithms, including the current AES standard Rijndael. It supports most modes and variants of each algorithm, for compatibility with other systems. Data can be exchanged with the component using files, strings, data buffers, streams or Blobs. For convenience, axsStrongBox supports gzip data compression prior to encryption, which is ideal for encrypting text based formats such as XML. It also supports binary encoding (eg Base64 coding) of the encrypted data to ensure compatibility with text only channels. As a standard COM component, axsStrongBox is compatible with Visual C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, and any other COM compliant development environment. It is VBA compatible, so it can be used in MS Office developments. It can also be used in an ASP environment for web server applications. |
