MyKwB - My Knowledge Base (TM) is a computer program for the collection, organization, and sharing of knowledge as it presents itself during the daily routine. The package consists of the Family Knowledge System with an extended sample Knowledge Base (KwB) extracted from the authors personal KwB. Information about family, friends, work, hobbies and social activities constantly presents itself and needs to remembered at a later time. Items such as: addresses, phone numbers, maintenance records, financial details, dates, news items and thousands of pieces of information arrive by voice and paper to be managed by each of us. This information may be entered in a free-form manner, structured and designed by you to meet your exact needs. You create links where necessary to provide easy and quick access to that vital piece of information at any time. Furthermore, you'll have a historical record of your personal information that can be analyzed anytime you need to recall the exact amount of a transaction or recall exactly what maintenance has been performed on your car, appliances, or house. Over time, this information provides a tangible record of the lifetime experience. This experience can be shared with other uses of the Knowledge System with the Remote Sharing Option feature using a virtual private network over the Internet. My Knowledge Base users may also have electronic meetings with the Group Discussion feature over a virtual private network using the Internet. My Knowledge Base is: a user directed information storage and retrieval system, runs in the Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4.0, 2000 and XP operating environment, is a Level 1 Knowledge Tool, supports Group Discussion over the Internet, supports Knowledge Base Remote Sharing Option over the Internet, provides project tracking support, is delivered as electronic download, includes an industry standard install/uninstall feature, is easy to use and has context sensitive help. |
