Lock down your computer with password protection
Hides start button, taskbar, clock, desktop icons
Disables CTRL+ALT+DEL and other key combinations
Disables system tray bubble notifications
Double click hot spot in upper left corner of screen to bring up password dialog for access to program functions
Allow users to browse the web in this locked environment
Uses Mozilla engine

With Lock My Computer running, users are prevented from:
Accessing desktop icons, programs, documents, local settings, local drives, and system areas
Downloading or executing files
Browsing the web past their time limit
This makes Lock My Computer great for:
Internet Cafes: Safeguard your machines! Prevent malicious or accidental damage. Cashiers/clerks accept payment for browsing time, double click in hotspot (upper left corner), type password and open browser for set time period. The user cannot download or execute files in this browser, and popups are blocked.
Kiosks: Command line accepts path to third party software to run after lockdown
Families: Feel safe letting your kids loose on the web, knowing that they can't download or execute files, access settings or system areas and that the browser will close after the number of minutes you designate |
