dotWidget for PayPal DL is a secure yet simple e-commerce solution that integrates your downloadable product offerings with a PayPal Business or Premium account.
Do you sell downloadable software? dotWidget for PayPal DL automates the delivery of your products: software, e-books, computer-based training, sound, video, zip files, PDF files, etc. By integrating with PayPal's Instant Payment Notification (IPN, real-time purchase confirmation and server-to-server notifications), dotWidget writes a record of each sale to your mySQL database, and automatically emails your paid customer a link to your Download Log-in page. When the customer returns to your site and enters his or her email address at the Download Log-in page, dotWidget verifies that the customer is entitled to download your product, and provides a link to do so. You can even set an expiration date on how long a download link will be available to your customers after the date of payment. Your site-wide and product-specific information stored in dotWidget are used to dynamically generate the link and form components that make it easy for your customers to pay for your products with their PayPal funds. Note that dotWidget for PayPal is not in any way affiliated with nor endorsed by PayPal. We just think their service is great and want to make it easier for others to use it. dotWidget for PayPal DL is designed primarily for home-based and small store sellers for which PayPal integration would be a good thing. dotWidget does not give you a lot of bells and whistles like many high-priced and/or complicated solutions available.
